Welcome You have found your way to the year 1563 in Windsor, England, to the court of Queen Elizabeth I. There, you meet Phineas Varga, a newcomer to the country and to Elizabeth's court. He comes pledging to rid the young queen of the plague which has descended on her country, except that he speaks of a different type of plague. Rumors swirl around the young, handsome foreigner. Is he an interloper trying to be King? Is he a French spy? Is he an assassin, with the Virgin Queen as his target? He is none of these things. He hunts the revenant, an evil creature that feeds on the blood of the living. It has only recently reappeared in Elizabeth's kingdom. A young Scottish apprentice, a faithful Gargoyle friend, and a mysterious assassin of the female-only Nunnink Guild join Phineas in his quest. Will you?
